  • Awesome movie.
    I almost passed out at the hand scene. ^^;
    And the main character at the end reminds me of Theo in Hill House.

  • I feel like you should be told Mike Flanagan and Kate Siegel are married. Also they have a daughter called Theodora after the character. Flanagan tends to use the same actors and actresses as he likes to have a harmonious set and therefore keeps people who help create this.

  • I just watched it tonight. I enjoyed it…as much as one could, I suppose. lol Was unsettling and tense. After her cutting herself open to get out, I was really rooting for her to make it out of that nightmare because she had come so far. It's sad to think that for some people, the people you think are supposed to protect you turn out to really just be monsters. I really need to start reading some Stephen King novels, but I'm new to him. My dad was a huge fan of him, need to get the books from him.

  • This was a great adaptation but nothing beats the book. I read it when it first came out in two days. If you think "that scene" is bad here, then you need to read it in excruciating detail, LOL. The book is way better, but I give the director props for making a movie people said was unfilmable.

  • This is actually one of the better adaptations of a Stephen King novel. Loved it. Very well acted.

  • I love the format you're doing. You are film-informed so it felt like watching with a good friend. Strange, odd film. Acting is off though.

  • 12:31 Fun fact. "All things serve the beam" is a Dark Tower reference. Kinda neat that Flanagan worked that in since it's not part of the original story. Shows that he's a legit Stephen King fan. Would love to see him have a go at that series.
